About Me

As a psychotherapist, a former anxiety-ridden Division I athlete, and a mental wellness consultant, I strive to not only empower, but educate others on how to prioritize and improve their mental health.

I received my master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Texas in Austin. Prior to that, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ball State University where I also played basketball.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with major corporations, athletic teams, nonprofits, and podcasters all over the world. I currently write for Psychology Today and have been a spotlight speaker at several conferences.

I am still a Midwesterner at heart, but currently live outside of Charlotte, NC with my husband and two daughters. We love outdoor adventures like hiking and water sports. Parenthood has been a completely different type of adventure that continuously challenges me and reminds me the importance of practicing daily gratitude.
